DPR&Co supports Sir Jackie Stewart’s Race Against Dementia

Independent Melbourne communications agency DPR&Co has partnered with triple Formula One World Champion, Sir Jackie Stewart, and his charity Race Against Dementia as its pro bono agency.

Sir Jackie started the charity after his wife, Lady Helen Stewart, contracted dementia and his mission is to find a cure for dementia during his lifetime. Money raised by the charity is used to fund breakthrough and innovative dementia research around the world.

Race Against Dementia held a major cocktail event and charity auction during the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne at Lorbek Luxury Cars.

As the pro bono agency partner, DPR&Co provided communications and marketing support plus DPR&CO staff acted as volunteers at the event.

The event was attended by more than 500 guests, including Sir Jackie himself, current Formula One driver Daniel Ricciardo and former Australian GP ace and Sports Car World Champion Mark Webber.

The charity auction raised in excess of $450,000 for Race Against Dementia.

“I’d like to thank everyone for what a wonderful evening we had. It’s quite remarkable to have about 500 people in that room. To have such an enthusiastic audience was just terrific and the amount raised was really impressive,” Sir Jackie said.
